We're Here at 1318
For the past few years, contrary to the large awning banners near Glenview Road on the east side of Waukegan, Card & Party Giant has been operating its party supply and costume store at 1318 Waukegan Road. And now, perhaps, the day is approaching when we will see the awnings near Glenview Road replaced with a new enterprise.
At a recent Plan Commission meeting, local residents, some opposed, some in support of a permit for a microbrewery and tap room, participated in a public hearing. The hearing will continue in mid-July when the Commission will hear from Ten-Ninety Brewing’s owner about plans for opening a craft brewery and tasting shop in Card & Party Giant’s former location.
We certainly will stay tuned to learn more about the Plan Commission’s actions. And, as always, we look forward to serving our local community as the only family-owned card and party store in town.
